Sustainability is becoming increasingly important to help create a better future. At Hellema, we are constantly innovating to contribute to sustainability, which is why we are continually developing raw materials, more efficient transport, and packaging to become more sustainable.
Sustainable raw materials
For our products, we use palm oil with the RSPO certificate, chocolate and hazelnuts approved by the Rainforest Alliance, and, of course, FSC certified cardboard.
Sustainable packaging
Did you know that we developed cardboard packing? A unique innovation in the market? We also use FSC cardboard for our product packaging and recently even developed a paper ‘outer wrapper’, which we are incredibly proud of. With this paper wrapper we contribute to the reduction of plastic soup. We at Hellema are unique with this paper wrapper since there is no other bakery in the Nederlands that also uses this.
